If your non-pregnancy weight was in the healthy range, then during pregnancy you could gain about 1 to 5 pounds during the first trimester, followed by 1 pound each week through the rest of the term.

If your non-pregnancy weight was in the underweight category, then you must gain between 28 and 40 pounds.

If you were overweight, you could gain from 15 to 25 pounds.

If you were obese, you could gain between 11 to 20 pounds.
